NODA REVIEW It’s amazing what can be done on a small stage; this production took up every inch of stage space.
Apart from a little problem with masking off some of the drops where we could see the wings, they did extremely well. The gentlemen and ladies of the orchestra were in top form and the score was a pleasure to hear. Although restricted for room, the Jets and Sharks did their usual moves, with pleasing results. The cast in general performed well. There were three outstanding performances: for the ladies, Maria, played by Kate Parkinson, and Anita, played by Bex McLean, and for the gentlemen, Paul Kerrigan who sang his way through Tony’s role, and increased his fan base at the same time; all three were spot on. Well done to them, and the whole cast.
